Malini is based on a short story by Rabindranath Maharaj. It is about a man who returns
home to Trinidad after living for several years in Toronto.

In December 2003, Errol was the recipient of a $5,000 grant for Visual and Media Arts, Emerging Artists: Film and
Video category from the Ontario Arts Council to aid in its completion.
